How it works
Voicemail 5 is a voicemail service that takes messages for you when you are away from your phone or your phone is turned off. It records up to five one-minute messages, and all new messages can be saved for a period of 10 days.
Activating Voicemail 5
Before you use your Solo Mobile Voicemail 5, you need to set up your mailbox with your personal password. If it's the first time you've used Voicemail 5, you'll be prompted to enter the temporary password we assigned to you when you purchased your phone or Voicemail 5 service.
Here's how:
- Dial your area code and mobile phone number. Then press SEND if dialing from a mobile phone.
Note: If this call is long distance*, dial 11 digits (1 + area code + mobile phone number). - Skip the voicemail greeting by pressing the # key. If you are calling from your mobile phone, pressing the # key is not required.
- You will be prompted to enter the four-digit temporary password we assigned to you.
- Follow the prompts to change the temporary password to a new one. It should be 4–15 digits long, and cannot begin with zero.
- Follow the prompts to record your name.
- Follow the prompts to record a personal greeting or to select the standard greeting.
You're done! Your voicemail service is now activated.
*Long distance charges will apply.
